The review will be conducted in two parts. Part 1 will run from Spring to Autumn 2021 and will seek to understand the case for change to criteria within the Decent Homes Standard. If the case for change is made, part 2 will run from Autumn 2021 to Summer 2022 and will consider how decency should be defined. We anticipate that our main outcome will be a refreshed Decent Homes Standard. Stakeholder engagement Government has invited experts with experience of the Standard to a Decent Homes Review Sounding Board that will meet every 2 months throughout the review. Other interested stakeholders including individual social housing residents and landlords, academics and those holding a commercial interest in the review can register to receive papers and to submit comments and evidence in writing.
