(KNSI) – The alleged driver of a car that killed Mack Motzko and another man turned himself into Orono Police on Wednesday.
The 51-year-old suspect was booked into the Hennepin County Jail and held on two counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
The Orono man allegedly admitted to police that he had been drinking before getting in his Bentley and driving.
Neighbors reported the vehicle was going faster than 100 mph in a 40 mph zone around a curve on a small hill when the car crashed near the suspect’s home in Orono.
Twenty-four-year-old Sam Schuneman and 20-year-old Mack Motzko, the son of former St. Cloud State University Coach and current Gopher Men’s Hockey Coach Bob Motzko, were both killed in the crash.

ORONO, Minn. (FOX 9) - The driver involved in the Orono crash that killed two young men is set to face charges and is now in custody, authorities announced Wednesday.
At about 4 p.m. Wednesday, the driver, 51-year-old James Blue, turned himself in at the Orono Police Department.
Blue will be charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and is being booked into the Hennepin County Jail.
Saturday night, Blue was driving his Bentley when he crashed near his home in Orono. Sam Schuneman and Mack Motzko, the son of Gopher Men’s Hockey Coach Bob Motzko, were both killed in the crash. Blue was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
