Health workers in Gombe State on Thursday expressed appreciation to the United Children’s Emergency Fund and China for their health intervention projects which, they said impacted their lives positively.
The communities are Malleri and Dukul in Kwami Local Government Area of the state.
In 2020, UNICEF, in collaboration with the Chinese government, spent $1m on health intervention projects that reduced the high rate of maternal mortality and paediatric challenges in Kwami LGA.
The projects included the renovation of the Malleri and Dukul Primary Healthcare Centres in the local government area and the supply of needed drugs. ....
