The non-profit organization has been providing free or low-cost programming to members of the community, assisting with family support.  
Stephanie Barnes has been the program co-ordinator since last September, but she was far from a stranger to the family centre’s programs when she took the job. She was a board member for two years, and she started taking her kids to the centre when her family moved to Oxbow four years ago.
“It’s a place where parents can bring their kids. It’s a place where you can come and feel welcome if you’re having a good day or a bad day. It’s a good place to meet people. It’s just a good place to interact. It helps prepare you, give ideas for parenting or schooling, or other things to do with kids,” said Barnes.  ....
