At Stevens Point Area Senior High School s prom this year, students, dressed in gowns and suits, will gather for dinner and entertainment but no dancing.
In Oconomowoc, dancing will be permitted, but the DJ has been instructed to only play social distancing-friendly songs. The music will be turned off, an administrator warned, if the dance floor gets too crowded.
In Elmbrook, students will be required to test negative for COVID-19 on the morning of prom. And at an Eau Claire high school, students will attend their prom in three separate shifts.

Two incumbents and a political newcomer won the three seats up for election on the Oconomowoc Area School Board on April 6.
Incumbent Juliet Steitzer was unseated in the election by challenger Matt Carrico. Incumbents Jessica Karnowski and James Wood received the most votes and will retain their seats.
Wood had the most votes with 5,279 (24%), followed by Karnowski s 5,010 votes (23%) and Carrico s 4,196 votes (19%).
The results are not official until they are canvassed.
After results came in, Steitzer released a message on her school board Facebook page.
