The Lobo basketball roster grew again on Sunday with the addition of TCU transfer Taryn Todd.
The 6-foot-5 combo guard from Toronto who was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2019 and spent the past two seasons playing for the Big 12’s Horned Frogs announced via social media he was transferring to UNM, becoming the sixth member of the 2021 recruiting class for new Lobos head coach Richard Pitino.

The staff is now complete.
Richard Pitino on Tuesday announced via a school press release that he has hired former Arizona State and UNLV staffer Eric Brown as his third assistant for the Lobo men’s basketball team. He joins Isaac Chew and Andy Hill as the three assistant coaches on Pitino’s first staff at UNM.
The school said Pitino would be available on Wednesday afternoon to media to discuss the hire.

Now, Richard Pitino really is no longer the University of Minnesota coach.
Well, after he collects one final payment of $125,000 per a separation agreement he and the university came to last week, and that the Journal reviewed on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old, who already has been named the new head coach of the University of New Mexico Lobos men’s basketball team, and his previous employer appear to have broken up on rather amicable terms, as both sides pretty publicly have said,

UNM on Thursday announced the hiring of two assistant coaches joining Richard Pitino’s staff for Lobo basketball longtime Utah assistant Andy Hill and Isaac Chew, who has coached at several power-conference schools, including Missouri, Marquette, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M and was most recently at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
UNM also announced video coordinator Robert Edwards has been retained from Paul Weir’s staff this past season.
