Non-acceptance of Governor-General nomination
The “Observer” newspaper in London was prominently reporting that the Australian Prime Minister Mr. Scullin’s nomination of fellow Australian Sir Isaac Isaacs for the Governor-Generalship of Australia had not been accepted, noting, “This has created a most embarrassing situation because of the Infringement of the Royal prerogative.
