LGB Alliance: Heterosexual founder Ann Sinnott resigns from charity

Former Labour councillor Ann Sinnott has resigned from her role as a director of anti-trans charity the LGB Alliance.
Sinnott, a heterosexual woman who is one of the four founders of LGB Alliance, resigned on the same day that LGBT+ charities united to appeal against the Charity Commission’s decision to register the LGB Alliance as a charity.
Sinnott, 71, quit Cambridge council in 2018 because it brought its policy in line with the Equality Act 2010 to make it clear that trans women should use women’s bathrooms. ....

Eileen Gallagher relates how a friend of hers – named Janice – underwent, decades ago, some sort of very traumatic, late-night encounter with a British man-beast in the picturesque village of Child’s Ercall. Found in north Shropshire, Child’s Ercall has origins that date right back to Celtic times and its church – St. Michael’s – to the 12
th Century. But, in all of its many years, the village surely never before, and maybe never since too, encountered such a strange beast as that in the tale told to Eileen by her childhood best friend. So the story went, it was back in 1971, Janice was fifteen at the time, and living in a nearby village. Something abominable was about ready to radically upset the usual tranquil calm of old Child’s Ercall. After an evening spent with her then-boyfriend at the home of his parents in Child’s Ercall, Janice was happily riding her pedal-bike back home when she was shocked to see a large, hairy animal dash across the road directly ....

The sudden death has taken place of Eileen Gallagher nee Sweeney, No.1 Dr.McCloskey crescent Glenties.
Her remains will repose at her home from 7pm on Tuesday 2/3/2021. Requiem mass at 11am on Thursday 4/3/2021 in St.Connells Church Glenties with interment in the local cemetery.
Mass can be viewed online on www.churchservices.tv/glenties. Due to HSE and government guidelines the wake funeral and interment are strictly private with a maximum of 10 people permitted.

Gap in show enthusiasts' year highlighted

The gap in the diaries of agricultural show enthusiasts this year due to coronavirus cancellations is laid bare in the new series of ‘Beidh Aonach Amárach’ which kicked off on
TG4 on Wednesday, February 24.
Edel and Brendan McCawley, pedigree Angus farmers from Co. Leitrim, who compete annually at agricultural shows, featured in episode one.
John and Eileen Gallagher from Donegal who have been dancing with each other for over 40 years, stepped out for a trip down memory lane. They go to dances around the country and attend Clonmany show.
Niamh Seoighe’s summer calendar has a big gap this year due to the show cancellations but she told how she is keeping busy combining working on the farm with her role in the Loch Measc distillery in Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo. ....
