20 billion anti-crisis funds from European Guarantee Fund
22 countries have joined the EGF, 17 of which financial institutions have successfully passed the selection process. Poland is currently in high 5th place in terms of the number of approved EGF projects – ahead of, among others, Sweden, Belgium and Germany. The leaders are countries such as Italy, Spain and France.
More than PLN 14 billion from thirteen financial institutions from Poland will go to Polish entrepreneurs this year. New Brexit loan scheme set to be launched

A New Brexit Loan Scheme is set to be launched in the coming weeks, the government has announced.
The planned scheme was announced yesterday (Thursday, May 6) by Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar; Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Charlie McConalogue; and Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe.
The ministers are calling on financial providers to take part in the new Brexit loan scheme, which will be administered by the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI).
The scheme will be funded up to €330 million, and will be open to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and small ‘mid-caps’, including farmers. ....

The European Guarantee Fund (EGF), part of the €540 billion EU recovery package agreed in 2020, has approved funding amounting to almost half its target for 2021. After clearance under the EU state aid notification process in December 2020, the initiative has now approved EUR 11.7 billion in
support of European businesses struggling with the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is almost half the fund’s target for 2021. The fund mobilises additional financing, and initiatives financed so far are expected to generate EUR 93.9 billion in funding for the EU economy. With €2.1 billion in financing also signed at the end of April, EGF funding is already reaching businesses across the European Union. ....

European Guarantee Fund soon to be available in Polish market
More than PLN 14 billion from thirteen financial institutions from Poland will go to Polish entrepreneurs this year. It is estimated that during the entire period of the European Guarantee Fund s activity, they will be able to benefit from anti-crisis financing estimated at up to PLN 20 billion.
The amounts of the estimated volume correspond to the contribution that Poland has declared for the EGF in the amount of approximately €1.1 billion. The European Guarantee Fund was established voluntarily and in solidarity by the Member States of the European Union as a tool to combat the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Funds have been entrusted to the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group to offer portfolio guarantees and a range of instruments to venture capital funds to improve access to external financing. ....
