Our family has been looking for something like this for some time now. Here s why.. My wife’s Great Grandfather, Joseph Webber, was a baker. He & his wife Emma ran a bakery, right beside Turnpike Lane tube station. Mary, being their daughter would also help out in the shop. Turnpike Lane tube station is at the top of Langham Road which is also where MY Grandparents (& Mum) lived during the 1940’s & 1950’s. Since Webber’s was the closest local bakery, my Nan & later my Mum, were regularly in Webber’s to buy bread for the family. So my Nan & Mum would have been chatting and buying bread from my wife’s Grandmother, and Great Grandparents, a few times a week, for years in the 1940’s & 50’s…..!!! This is 40+ years before my Wife & I met each other ....
