Mother who lost husband and two sons in Kanturk tragedy dies after long battle with illness

North Cork sources said she had been very ill over recent weeks.
On October 26, Tadg and Diarmuid confronted Mark in the bedroom of the family home at Assolas outside Kanturk in north Cork and shot him multiple times.
Anne, who was also in the farmhouse, was left unharmed by her husband and youngest son though they took her mobile phone - forcing her to run to a neighbour s house to raise the alarm.
Mark was later found dead in his bedroom by Gardaí.
The bodies of his father and younger brother were located by Gardai some 600 metres from the farmhouse off the Castlemagner-Kanturk road. ....

Killers Tom and Molly Martens to appear before US court to indicate if they will take plea deal

Both would then be transferred from Davidson County jail back to North Carolina prisons to complete their sentences.
Having already served nearly four years, they could be released around March 2023 if a minimum term is applied.
They had been serving 20 to 25-year sentences for the second-degree murder of the packaging industry executive, who was beaten to death with a metal baseball bat and a concrete brick in the bedroom of his home.
If they reject the deal, they will face a full retrial on second-degree murder charges.
The Limerick family of Mr Corbett expressed outrage at the plea bargain offer and plan to mount a legal challenge to block it. ....

Pervert doctor struck off after secretly filming women using hospital toilet

A consultant radiologist who secretly recorded strangers, work colleagues and even family friends using the toilet for sexual thrills was struck off with immediate effect today.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service began hearing evidence last week and reconvened this morning to announce the sanction to be imposed on 52-year-old consultant radiologist Mark McClure.
“The tribunal has determined that the sanction that should be imposed is one of erasure,” announced the chairperson.
She later declared the “erasure” will take effect immediately and will also cover the 28 days in which McClure can appeal the panels decision.
McClure has only recently been freed from prison having served four and a half months behind bars, including over Christmas, after he admitted 11 counts of voyeurism. ....

Dublin nurse and son left terrified by after criminal gang accidentally targeted her house
