A sex shop owner has taken to posting CCTV of thieves in the store on its Facebook page, including a thief who stole a nine-inch toy and shoved it down the back of his pants. Lynda Joy of Cupid s Cabin in Townsville took the desperate measure after a number of brazen thefts from her store in suburban Aitkenvale. In one recent video a man waits until his friend is talking to Ms Joy at the front counter before he takes a 9.5-inch Black Hoodlum Dong off the shelf and sticks it down the back of his trousers. Since COVID-19 struck in early 2020 there have been 53 permanent shutdowns completed or scheduled for Queensland, according to bank figures and Finance Sector Union data. Nationally the number is almost 300. Temporary COVID-related closures of some bank branches are continuing, and hundreds of ATMs have disappeared in a real blow to communities , the union says. FSU national secretary Julia Angrisano said there had been a sharp rise in branch closures in the past two years and the number was growing at its fastest rate since the early 2000s. ....
