Eversource is one of the biggest energy providers to Connecticut and I m one of their customers. I received an e-mail from them yesterday announcing that their COVID-19 Payment program, which was designed to assist those who have been financially affected throughout the pandemic, has a deadline now for those to enroll, and that date is tomorrow, Thursday, May 20, 2021.
The Eversource payment program is open to all of its customers, both residential and commercial. Think about all of the small businesses that have been shut down over the past year and all of the live entertainment/arts/hospitality/food industry jobs that have disappeared. It s terrible to owe any kind of back payment, but Eversource s program allows protection from disconnection if the customer remains current with their payment terms. Another important benefit of the plan is that Eversource won t charge any fees or interest and give you up to 24 months to pay your past-due balance.
