Police identify, arrest suspect behind Round Rock hospital lockdown Published The suspect has been identified as Christopher Dwayne Mims, 32. ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Pflugerville Police Department has identified and arrested the suspect who prompted a lockdown at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital early this morning. The suspect has been identified as Christopher Dwayne Mims, 32. Mims was arrested in Austin after the Pflugerville Police Criminal Investigations Division filed an arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon. His bond has been set at $100,000. According to police, the lockdown was put in place around 1 a.m. Mims was believed to be in the building. Dozens of police were on the scene for several hours, including a SWAT team and officers in tactical gear. ....
Ascension Seton Williamson hospital in Round Rock was briefly placed on lockdown early Wednesday as police searched for man suspected of an assault in Pflugerville, authorities said. Police said a woman, who was the victim of the assault, had been brought to the hospital. Then around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Round Rock police said they were looking for the suspect in the area of Ascension Seton Williamson and that the hospital was on lockdown. Officers said they had no reports of gunshots at the hospital but they urged the public to stay away from the hospital during the search. By 6:45 a.m., Round Rock police said they finished a search of the hospital and the suspect, whose identity was not released, had not been found. Hospital staff then lifted the lockdown. ....

Williamson County is asking the state for 30,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to administer to people ages 65 and older, starting in the Georgetown area. The county has submitted a plan to the state outlining where the vaccines would be given, including at the Sun City Ballroom, said Kathy Pierce, the executive assistant for Williamson County Commissioner Cynthia Long. Pierce spoke about the plan Tuesday morning at the Commissioners Court meeting. The administration of the vaccines would focus initially on the Georgetown area because that s where a high concentration of the county s residents ages 65 and older live, Pierce said. The vaccines also would be available to seniors who live outside the county, she said. Participants who qualify would be required to register online if Williamson County rolls out the plan. ....
