Demands intensify for resumption of in person learning in Michigan by March 1 Michigan Democrats, backed by the corporate media, are ramping up pressure to reopen schools by March 1, the “recommended” deadline set by Governor Gretchen Whitmer for the resumption of in-person instruction. The planned February 24 reopening of the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), the state’s largest, is being used as the model to open larger Democratic-administered districts around the state. LakeVille Community Schools, a small district with facilities in Genesee and Lapeer counties, announced the high school would be closed effective immediately in a Wednesday, Feb. 10 letter from Superintendent Mike Lytle to families. Students will switch to a virtual learning platform through Friday, Feb. 19, returning to face-to-face instruction on Monday, Feb 22. All after-school programs are also canceled until further notice. Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to contact Lytle or school administrators.
