Nigeria Set to Deploy New Technology to Monitor Air Quality Share Article BERKELEY, Calif. and ABUJA, Nigeria (PRWEB) June 09, 2021 Clarity Movement Co. and the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) of Nigeria entered into a letter of intent ( LoI ) to collaborate, in cooperation with non-profit, academic and industry partners, on a bold project to implement air quality monitoring in Nigeria. The innovative partnership outlined in the LoI seeks to deploy a network of Clarity s high-accuracy air quality monitors, powered by solar, to send the data to an air quality monitoring dashboard, resulting in the insight necessary to drive environmental and health policy in Nigeria. Jacksonville Mayor Andy Ezard announced at the start of the City Council’s workshop session Monday night, his office had been informed that a grant has been approved for the Nichols Park Pool project. In 2019 the city applied for an OSLAD grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The program is a state-financed matching grant program that provides funding assistance to local government agencies for the acquisition and/or development of land for public outdoor recreation areas. ....

The Jacksonville City Council approved an engineering agreement with Benton & Associates of Jacksonville for the replacement of the Nichols Park Pavilion roof during their regular meeting last night. Parks and Lakes Committee Chair Lori Large Oldenettel says the aging roof has put recent interior improvements in jeopardy. “ It was brought to our attention there is significant leaking of the park pavilion out at Nichols Park, and so we brought it before the council and it was decided we should move forward to take care of the investment that we have already made in that building with the floor and other infrastructure inside.
