A crowd of roughly 100-150 people lined the walkways at Detroit Lakes' Veterans Memorial Park on Monday, May 31, as members of local veterans' groups gathered to observe Memorial Day.
No parade, but most Memorial Day events will be happening in Detroit Lakes this year
Last year s Memorial Day weekend festivities were largely curtailed due to COVID-19 restrictions, but this year, the calendar for May 28-31 looks pretty full aside from the lack of a parade.

For the second straight year, the Memorial Day parade in Detroit Lakes will not be happening on Monday but most other events set for the weekend of May 28-31 will be going on as planned.
