[email protected] LAKE PLACID Seven Mountain Lake Academy students between the ages of 15 and 17 have been charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly attacking a 17-year-old student Monday, April 26. State Police said they responded to the school at 3:18 p.m. for a reported fight in progress and charged three 15-year-olds, two 16-year-olds and two 17-year-olds, all male students of Mountain Lake Academy, with third-degree assault. Police also charged a 14-year-old of Mineville. None were named, due to their youth. Police said the victim suffered superficial scrapes and bruises about the head and scalp from being kicked and punched and was transported first to the Lake Placid Health and Medial Fitness Center, and then to Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake for further care. ....
