Marie C. Latimer
WATERBURY – Marie C. (Rossetti) Latimer, 91, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on April 6, 2021, at the LiveWell Nursing Facility in Plantsville. She was the loving wife of R. James Latimer Jr. and they resided in and supported the community of Bunker Hill with their four daughters for many years.
Marie was first-generation American, born in Bristol, Conn., on Jan. 17, 1930, daughter to the late Gaetano and Josephine (Guasconi) Rossetti of Northern Italy. Marie was a graduate of Bristol High School and then worked for the City of Bristol followed by MacDermid Chemical. Her last professional position was with the Department of Public Affairs at Waterbury Hospital where she worked for many years until her retirement.

NAUGATUCK When the Naugatuck Veterans of Foreign Wars Crusader Post 1946 marked its 50th anniversary in 1980, the celebration started with a cookout on a Sunday and ended the following Saturday with a dinner party with events every day in between.
“That party lasted seven days,” recalled U.S. Navy veteran Paul Miller, 83, who was commander of the post from 1978 to 1981 and is still an active member.
