Erika Rio Valdez was taken from her driveway in Cleveland Tuesday evening by Abel Fajardo at gunpoint. At 2am on New Year’s Day officials in northern Illinois notified Liberty County that Valdez was found safe and alive. Fajardo is arrested. The two had met previously and family members say he had been stalking her for two years.Her brother witnessed the abduction and chased Fajardo’s vehicle unsuccessfully Tuesday night. photo: KPRC-TV ....

A 32-year-old woman kidnapped from Liberty County Tuesday was found safe in Illinois around 2 a.m. According to deputies, the suspect in the kidnapping, 38-year-old Abel Fajardo, was arrested, and Erika Rios Valdez was found with him, safe and unharmed. ....
