Sweet Home is based on a webtoon that conveys the story of a high school student and loner Cha Hyun Soo (played by Song Kang). After losing his family in an accident, he lived independently and moved to a new apartment. However, he did not expect to encounter different scary and terrifying moments. Regarding Song Kang, the director commented, “When I first saw Hyun Soo [Song Kang’s character], I was reminded of Johnny Depp’s Edward Scissorhands.
