COVID-19 vaccines available despite no lines at sites


The lines at most local vaccination sites in Palm Beach County are short, which could confuse people into thinking there aren t vaccines left, but local health officials say COVID-19 vaccines are still available.There was no line at all for the COVID-19 vaccine at the Lantana/Lake Worth Health Center on Southwinds Drive.The Health Care District of Palm Beach County s Mobile Unit was parked outside the center Monday offering the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines.A handful of people showed up while WPBF 25 News was there during the afternoon.Health officials continue to offer the COVID-19 vaccines at several locations throughout the county.The Florida Department of Health is handing out a $10 voucher for groceries as an incentive.Officials are concerned that fewer people are getting vaccinated. Demand has dropped off in this last few weeks, said Chris Bell, emergency manager of the city of Delray Beach.In an effort to get more people vaccinated, health officials are sharin ....
