The Sacramento City Unified School District will welcome thousands of students back to class on Thursday. Teachers spent much of Wednesday preparing their classrooms. Here are three things to know about Sacramento Unified Schools Reopening Plan:Teachers will teach students in-person and remote at the same timeThe SUSD is using a concurrent model. That means teachers will simultaneously teach students who are in the classroom and those who are at home. The district is using a phased approach to reopening its schools. Thursday, April 8, grades Ek-3 and K-6 Special Day Classes will resume. Each week thereafter, the district will open for different grade segments (April 15 for fourth through sixth graders, followed by April 22 for seventh through 12th graders). Gov. Tony Evers today announced that the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) was awarded two federal grants totaling $60,000 to assist with the restoration costs of the Forward and Col. Hans Christian Heg statues that were damaged earlier this year. The grants are from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) Gov. Tony Evers announced Friday, Dec. 11, that the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) was awarded two federal grants totaling $60,000 to assist with the restoration costs of the Forward and Col. Hans Christian Heg statues that were damaged earlier this year. The grants are from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
According to a news release, back in July, Gov. Evers encouraged the State Capitol and Executive Residence Board (SCERB) to consider diversifying the State Capitol statues to more accurately represent the leaders who have contributed to Wisconsin s history by honoring the late Vel Phillips with a statue on the Capitol grounds. ....

MADISON, Wis. Gov. Tony Evers announced that the Wisconsin Department of Administration was awarded two federal grants totaling $60,000.
The costs will assist with the restoration costs of the “Forward” and Col. Hans Christian Heg statues that were damaged this year, a release said.
The grants are from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Gov. Evers also encouraged the State Capitol and Executive Residence Board, or SCERB, to consider diversifying the State Capitol statues by honoring Vel Phillips with a statue, a release said.
