The City is looking for an innovative partnership with a concessionaire who will provide snow and winter activities on the current campground space and some of the surrounding area that make up the 56-acre parcel. The City of South Lake Tahoe Parks and Recreation Department released a request for proposals (RFPs) on July 16 for a Winter Program Concessionaire. The City currently operates a seasonal campground within the 56-acre parcel between April and October 1. The 175-site campground is vacant in winter but has the potential to be programmed for low-impact winter activities. The City is planning to create a “Winter Wonderland” atmosphere in the campground, including family-oriented holiday events.
