IWD 2021: The pensions gap, equal retirement prospects, and the Covid burden

So far, DC plans have largely been focused on the onset of auto-enrolment and changes to the regulatory framework - be it the ‘charge cap, ‘pension freedoms or consultations around ‘value for money , says Annabel Tonry, Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM).Download
In 2015 George Osborne, then the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, decided that those age over 55 could take much more of their pension in cash. This has since opened up a range of possibilities for DC scheme members in the world of pensions.Download

Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA), ($BTC) - Tesla Should Sell Its Bitcoin and Buy Back Shares To Create 'Positive Momentum,' Says Analyst

Share:
Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) could create a “positive momentum” if its sold its
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) holdings and initiated a buyback of its stock, according to Gary Black, a private investor and former CEO of Aegon Asset Management.
What Happened: Black aired his views on social media Thursday in a series of tweets.
“Imagine the positive momentum [Tesla] would create if they announced the sale of their [Bitcoin] position, and authorized a [Tesla] stock buyback instead.” wrote Black.
The investor acknowledged that the prospect was “unlikely” but shareholders would support such a move.
Investors who say #btc has less risk than govt bonds or gold haven’t done their research. Govt bonds have ~2% risk, defined as monthly volatility of returns. Gold ~3% risk. US equities ~6% risk. #btc has ~20% risk, further out on the risk curve than almost any other asset class. pic.twitter.com/OjMyWYU0Oa ....

Place North West | PLANNING | Speakers House refused, Debenhams approved

Refusing a 17 storey building IN A CITY CENTRE for blocking views of another building of a similar height seems shady. Aren’t there plans on the opposite site of the road on the Renaissance Hotel site for buildings of height in future plans too? Will these too be refused because they block views? Can we only now have one building of height at that end of Deansgate? The Speakers House scheme would massively improve that area of Deansgate and St Ann’s Square and replace the current eyesore of a building on the site.

The fact that the council have refused the speakers house development yet again proves just how short sighted they are. Replacing a ghastly 1960s block with something that will revitalise this part of town should have flown through, but instead, they just want to satisfy the NIMBY population in no. 1 Deansgate. ....
