Puerto Rican writer, translator, educator and curator Paloma Sierra has been commissioned to pen the second segment of Hero Theatre and Hero Multimedia s Nuestro Planeta, a ten-year multimedia new works initiative that focuses on educating Latinx film and theater audiences about environmental justice within the Americas.
A series of films and plays that center on the relationship between Latinx communities and the earth, Nuestro Planeta will focus on specific countries in Latin America, beginning with Colombia and Puerto Rico.

Theatre Now New York, a non-profit artists service organization and theatre company dedicated to supporting musical theatre writers, has established a new National Musical Writers Group which will bring together lyricists and composers from across the nation.
The group is comprised of ten writing teams from eight states who will meet regularly to develop new musicals by presenting their work, sharing their process, and offering and receiving support from one another and from Theatre Now New York.
