In reply to a question on intrusion from other countries to India, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in Lok Sabha said that 61 cases of infiltration were reported at India-Pakistan border, 1045 at India-Bangladesh border and 63 at India-Nepal.
The MHA also claimed that no infiltration case were reported at India-China border.
Further, they said that no infiltration cases were reported at India-Myanmar and India-Bhutan.
“Infiltrators apprehended by the Border Guarding Forces were handed over to the concerned State Police,” the MHA said. ....

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora and Election Commissioners Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar arrived in West Bengal to review election preparedness, on Wednesday evening. The TMC and the BJP who are fighting a fierce electoral battle in the State met them on Thursday in an all-party meeting at a hotel in Kolkata.

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], January 21 (ANI): Rejecting accusations of being used to threaten voters , the Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday said that the allegations made by leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) are without any basis and far from any truth.
TMC leaders have alleged that the BSF was intimidating people in border areas of West Bengal to cast their votes in favour of a particular political party .
BSF is a professional Border Guarding Force which has in the past, and also in the present, guarded our international borders with total sincerity and dedication. We have actively checked on illegal infiltration and smuggling and brought to the book criminals involved in such activities, the BSF said in a statement. ....

NEW DELHI: The Trinamool Congress and the BJP on Thursday petitioned the full bench of Election Commission of India. They also traded charges against each other ahead of the assembly elections in the state.
The Election Commission of India team, led by CEC Sunil Arora, is in West Bengal to review preparedness for the upcoming assembly elections.
While the BJP sought deployment of central forces in the state at the earliest citing sense of fear among people , the ruling Trinamool lodged a complaint against the Border Security Force (BSF). ....

NCB Arrests 2 Zambian Nationals With Heroin, Identifies 2 Reverse Routes Of Trafficking
KPS Malhotra, the deputy director of Operation, NCB, said that his team intercepted the accused Zambian nationals at T-3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The Narcotic Control Bureau has arrested two Zambian nationals and have seized 5.350 kg fine quality Heroin from their possession. The officials said, with their arrest, two new reverse routes of trafficking were identified.
KPS Malhotra, the deputy director of Operation, NCB, said that his team intercepted the accused Zambian nationals at T-3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport following a tip-off. 
During the search operation, 5.350 Kg of fine quality of Heroin was recovered from them. The accused were identified as Mulapi Joshua and Mambwe William. ....
