THIS ANNOUNCEMENT COMES A THOUSANDS OF TEACHERS AND PARENTS ARE PREPARING FOR APS TO RING IN THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR IN THREE WEEKS, BUT WE LEARNED THERE ARE SOME PARENTS WHO ARE NOT GOING TO SEND THEIR KIDS BACK AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FEARS OF THEIR CHILDREN CATCHING COVID. EMAILS LIKE THIS HAVE MANY APS PARENTS CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT SCHOOL WILL BE LIKE FOR THEIR CHILDREN. SHE MADE IT CLEAR THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE FROM WHAT THEY’RE DOING RIGHT NOW, AND THAT WOULD BE BEST TO STAY HOME. MARY ENGLAND IS THE MOTHER OF THREE ELEMENTARY AGED CHILDREN. SHE GOT AN EMAIL FROM ONE OF HER CHILDREN’S TEACHERS EXPLAINING HOW THINGS WOULD WORK WHEN APS RETURNS TO SCHOOL IN THREE WEEKS. MY GOAL WAS TO HAVE THE KIDS SPECIALLY THE ELEME

I THINK EVERYBODY WAS SURPRISED I CERTAINLY WAS PD ANNOUNCED MONDAY. ALL NEW MEXICO PUBLIC SCHOOLS SHOULD HAVE STUDENTS BACK IN THE CLASSROOM NO LATER THAN APRIL 5TH. THAT MEANS TEACHERS NEED TO BE BACK TOO THE PRESIDENT OF THE ALBUQUERQUE SO FAR. SHE’S GETTING A MIXED REACTION. On February 21, the Israeli Ministries of Environmental Protection, the Interior and Health jointly asked the public to refrain from going to any Mediterranean beaches on Israel’s 121 mile (195 kilometer) coastline, until further notice, due to a spill of hundreds of tons of tar. Beachgoers must stay away, at a time when Israelis are finally emerging from an extended lockdown and seeking the critical and soul nourishing peace of the sea.
One week after Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced that K-12 schools across the state can return to in-person learning regardless of their red to green risk designation, most elementary and secondary students remain at home.
While the announcement came as welcome news to a number of students around the state, many teachers were skeptical, suspicious or downright bewildered about the abrupt about-face regarding convening groups of five or more people while the coronavirus vaccine is still slow to roll out.
