ELKHART, Ind. The Elkhart Public Library announced they will be hosting a Summer Reading Challenge end party on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at NIBCO Water and Ice Park and the Kardzhali Park along the RiverWalk.
All of the public is invited to join the celebration that will offer games, prizes, and giveaways all afternoon.
Winners of the library’s “Go for Gold” reading challenge will be announced and presented with prizes from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Prizes for winning participants range from a $1,000 Dicks Sporting Goods shopping spree and party for 10 at the South Bend Cubs Performance Center, as well as other prizes like LEGO sets, a basketball hoop and more.

ELKHART, Ind. – Opening hours at all Elkhart Public Library locations will change Monday to bring more consistency and library access to the public.
Beginning June 7, the new hours will be:
Monday-Thursday
Friday
Saturday
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This change follows responses from a survey taken by the public last year. The most commonly requested change was for more Saturday hours.
Curbside pickup will still be available during all open hours at the Library locations.
The Dunlap and Cleveland branches are still closed for renovations.
