An urgent health alert has been issued for a bottle shop, a used car dealer and an Officeworks as NSW recorded seven new coronavirus infections on Saturday. Five of the new cases are from western and south-western Sydney and are linked to the Berala cluster, which now totals seven with the original source of infection a man in his 40s. Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant said there have been a number of venues exposed to coronavirus in the area, which is of concern to officials. Dr Chant said NSW Health is worried about the potential transmission risks at the BSW in Berala (pictured). Anyone who visited the bottle shop between Tuesday December 22 and Thursday December 31 inclusive is advised to check if they were at the shop during specific exposure dates and times ....
Victoria has recorded 10 new locally acquired cases of coronavirus, including two cases that tested positive in NSW. The 10 cases doubles the 5 new locally acquired cases reported on Friday, the first day of 2021. It comes as a man and a woman from NSW allegedly fled from officers at Melbourne Airport after arriving on a flight from Canberra at around 11am on Friday. The 26-year-old man and 24-year-old woman normally reside in NSW. After being spoken to by officers at the airport they were informed they d have to quarantine for 14 days, at which point they allegedly ran from the officer, and were picked up by a vehicle that took them away from the airport. ....
