CHESHIRE Enzo Beskovic had a simple answer about why he and his business partner, Fico Cecunjanin, chose to open a steak and seafood place in the town’s north end.
Because the north end doesn’t “already have one,” Beskovic said.
When it opens sometime in March, the partners’ restaurant Bone In Prime will have undergone a $700,000 renovation. The nearly 7,600-square-foot space previously had been home to Perfectly Prepared, which started selling prepared, heat-and-serve meals, in fall 2018 before it closed at the start of the pandemic.

While many towns across Connecticut and the country as a whole are experiencing a significant loss of businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cheshire seems to be in the middle of a small economic boom.
At least four new businesses Cheshire Craft Brewing, Olive & Henry Fine Foods, ReRead Books & More, and Counter Weight Brewing Company have either opened or received approval to open by the Planning and Zoning Commission within the last year.
