Trump supporter admits to voter fraud after casting dead mother's ballot in 2020

A Pennsylvania man pleaded guilty to voter fraud charges after he illegally cast a ballot for former President Trump
Bruce Bartman, 70, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of perjury and one count of unlawful voting and was sentenced to five years of probation, according to The Associated Press. In addition, he will not be allowed to vote in an election for four years and is no longer eligible to serve on a jury.
He apologized for his actions and blamed his decision on consuming false claims about the election.

A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to five years of probation after pleading guilty to casting a vote in the name of his deceased mother in an effort to reelect then-U.S. President Donald Trump, according to court records and Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer s office.
Bruce Bartman, 70, received the sentence Friday after entering a guilty plea to two counts of perjury and one count of unlawful voting. Bartman will also lose his right to vote for four years, pursuant to Pennsylvania statute, the district attorney s office said in a news release.
Voter records show that Bartman used Pennsylvania s online voter-registration portal to register both his late mother, Elizabeth Bartman, and his deceased mother-in-law, Elizabeth Weihman, who died in 2019 illegally registering both as Republican voters, the district attorney s office said. ....

Bartman was sentenced by the court after pleading guilty to two counts of perjury and one count of unlawful voting.
He was also barred from voting for four years.
According to CNN, 70-year-old Bartman was accused of registering Elizabeth Bartman his late mother and Elizabeth Weihman, his deceased mother-in-law on the Pennsylvania voter registration portal as Republican voters.

Bartman, thereafter, sent in the absentee ballot for his deceased mother during the election.
Following the judgment, Samuel Stretton, Bartman’s attorney, reportedly said his client’s action was “a misguided political mistake” and that he regrets the decision.
Bartman had reportedly explained to the court that he had been isolated at home owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and that he was misled by “propaganda and statements” that were made about voter fraud. ....
