Jeremy Simmons attacked a woman in Eastleigh town centre
A MAN subjected his victim to a harrowing attack as she walked through a Hampshire town centre.
Jeremy Blake Simmons banged a woman’s head against metal railings and then dragged her into Leigh Road Park, Eastleigh.
He told the 19-year-old he had a gun and kicked her to stop her screaming.
Simmons, 20, had pounced on the woman as she walked along Leigh Road.
Prosecution barrister, Christopher Wing, said how the woman was left feeling anxious, depressed and suffering nightmares.
Simmons, of no fixed address, said he had been trying to rob the woman who had been wearing headphones and was oblivious to his presence. ....

A MAN who banged a woman’s head against metal railings and then dragged her into a pitch dark park has been jailed for 13 years and four months.
Jeremy Blake Simmons told his vulnerable 19-year-old victim he had a gun and even threatened to kill her.
Just moments before he had run up behind her in Leigh Road, Eastleigh.
Simmons, 20, punched her then kicked her to stop her screaming.
Prosecution barrister, Christopher Wing, said how the woman was left feeling anxious, depressed and suffering nightmares following the attack in Leigh Road Recreation Ground. ....

A MAN secretly installed cameras recording a man and woman urinating and defecating in the bathroom and sleeping naked in their bed, a court heard.

Portsmouth Crown Court heard how he shattered the ‘shocked’ pair’s trust after they found a camera installed in a Bluetooth speaker on the top of a wardrobe.
Another camera was found partially hidden in the bathroom angled pointing at the toilet, prosecutor Martyn Booth said.
Pub chef Simon Clement, 28, was arrested when the horrified pair found the cameras and alerted police. ....

Jury finds Ryde man guilty of possessing child sex abuse images

A JURY found a Ryde man guilty of possessing child sex abuse images.
Nicholas Berryman, 54, of Alexandra Road, denied three counts of making indecent photographs of children and possession of extreme pornographic images showing bestiality.
He appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Friday for sentencing, where he was given a suspended jail term.
Recorder Richard Shepherd said the prosecution had put the case that it was deliberate downloading of 3,000-odd Category A images showing indecent images of children, just under 5,000 at Category B and just under 20,000 Category C.
Elisabeth Bussey-Jones, representing Berryman, said the images were downloaded in bulk, not categorised, and had then been deleted and there was no evidence he had looked at them. ....
