Sexual assaults of University of Michigan students rise in 2020, report shows

ANN ARBOR, MI Reports of sexual misconduct and assaults of University of Michigan students increased from 2019 to 2020, according to a university report.
Between July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020, the university’s Office for Institutional Equity received 292 reports of sexual and gender-based misconduct from students 20 more than fiscal year 2019, according to the report.
Sexual assault is the most commonly identified allegation, with 157 reported in fiscal year 2020 an increase from 126 in fiscal year 2019. ....
