MIDDLETOWN A Berlin man has been accused of assaulting a Main Street bar owner after he was seen kicking a dog, police said.
Middletown police were called to Eli Cannon’s Tap Room, 695 Main St., just before 8:30 p.m. May 4 about an alleged assault where four bar workers were detaining an individual in the adjacent alley, according to a police report.
Police said when they arrived, Jesse J. Tomlin, of Berlin, 39, was fighting with three men. Police said they subdued the suspect and placed him in handcuffs. ....

Harrie’s Jailhouse restaurant is expected to launch in late February / early March at 51 Warwick St., Middletown, in the old Pameacha Jail. “In our opinion, there is no better food than a quality sandwich.
