Emma Kay, 32, co-founded WalkSafe, a free personal safety app for women, in 2020, with her brother-in-law Richard Kay, 32. She lives in Richmond in London with her husband Anthony and their daughter Arianne, one.

Three youths were placed on acceptable behaviour contracts after a firefighter was hit by a brick
THREE youths were placed on acceptable behaviour contracts after a firefighter was struck by a brick in a County Durham village.
A dispersal order was put in place following several incidents at the derelict racecourse in Wheatley Hill last week, resulting in the police issuing notices to ten youths over the weekend.
Tree youths were taken home, and five more were collected by parents.
Five one-to-one meetings were conducted with parents of children identified as being involved in an incident in which a firefighter was hit by a brick on Thursday. ....

Dispersal order after three nights of disruption in Wheatley Hill


Durham Police has put the dispersal order in place in Wheatley Hill.
There has been three consecutive nights of reports of antisocial behaviour at the disused greyhound track.
Police and fire services were called in response to reports of a group of around twenty young people causing damage to derelict buildings and setting refuse alight.
Last night, a 16-year-old was boy was arrested after a firefighter was struck by a brick.
Today a dispersal order has been issued for the weekend, granting officers the power to arrest any individual who does not leave the area when directed.
Inspector Emma Kay, of Peterlee neighbourhood police team, said: “We will not tolerate the sort of behaviour we have seen this week. ....
