A DUDLEY woman’s initiative to provide mental health packs to local schools has been given a boost by local MP.
Emma Barton, from Upper Gornal, is a children’s book organiser who is co-ordinating special packs to help with the issue of mental health among children during lockdowns.
And she has won the backing of Dudley North MP Marco Longhi MP, himself a mental health first aider, who said: “I understand the impact this pandemic is having on people’s mental health, especially young children. Children’s usual school environment, which is home from home, has been severely disrupted. It is vital that children have an outlet to express their own fears and worries.” ....
