Five Hills royalty work as pizzaiolos at Domino s | Copperas Cove Herald

FORT HOOD — Little Miss Five Hills Braelyn Liles has never chosen anything but cheese — and only cheese — on her pizza. Yet, Braelyn, 5, grabbed a handful of bacon and plopped it in the middle of her pizza and topped it off with a handful of spinach. She got out of her comfort zone as she and Miss Five Hills titleholders became pizzaiolos at Domino’s on Fort Hood. “Braelyn is such a picky eater and watching her pile on all kinds of ingredients was shocking to me. Much to my surprise, she actually ate it and enjoyed it,” said Christy Liles, Braelyn’s mother. “She absolutely loved every second of it and you could tell she felt so grown up doing it. Thanks to Domino’s for this because she rarely eats meat and now maybe she will be more open to meat options and trying new things.”

Copperas Cove royalty rack up the awards in Holland Corn Festival

HOLLAND — Young Miss Five Hills Emily Kimball took the deepest breath possible, reared her shoulders back and thrust the kernel of corn out of her mouth in the Holland Corn Festival junior corn seed spitting contest. The seed of corn flew 12 feet, 10 inches, securing the first-place trophy from the dozens of competitors that entered. Teen Miss Five Hills Angelica Torres dunked her head and shoulders all the way into the livestock bucket filled with water and came up with a corn cob in her mouth in less than 10 seconds, winning her first place in her preliminary round of competition and second place overall in the corn cob bobbing contest.
