A sibling showdown will be a feature of the BHP Premiership Round 3 fixture between the CQ Capras and the Burleigh Bears this weekend.
Rockhampton sisters Sharni and Tamika Upton will face off for the first time in their rugby league careers at 12.10pm Sunday at the Gold Coast’s Pizzey Park.

Sharni will line up in the second row for the Capras, Tamika at fullback for the ladder-leading Burleigh Bears.
It will be a monumental day for the Uptons but Sharni said she was trying to approach it as “just another game”.
“I’m trying not to think of playing against Tamika too much, I just need to focus on my game and the Capras game plan,” she said.

It’s always a spirited affair when Yeppoon and Emu Park face off in footy’s battle of the beach, but Saturday’s showdown will be a particularly emotional one.
The A-grade teams will play for the Rhys Yore Memorial Shield when they meet at Yeppoon’s Webb Park in Round 1 of the 2021 Rockhampton Rugby League competition.
The shield was donated by the Yore family in honour of Rhys, a Yeppoon junior and St Brendan’s College Year 11 student who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in January.
The death of the popular teenager, described as an “irreplaceable mate to so many”, sent shockwaves through the coast community.

Central Queensland touch and rugby league players will get to learn from some of the codes’ most accomplished figures this weekend.
CQ Bulls Touch is presenting the 6 Again Clinic featuring NRLW stars Ali Brigginshaw, Millie Boyle, Tarryn Aiken, Lauren Brown, Shenae Ciesiolka and homegrown talent Tamika Upton.
The decorated athletes will run touch and rugby league clinics in Rockhampton and Yeppoon on Saturday and Sunday and attend a gala event at Rockhampton’s Cocobrew on Saturday night.
CQ Bulls general manager development Tracy Upton said it was exciting to deliver the clinics for the first time.
