Police Blotter: Husband Had Only Taken Wife s Car To Get Gas; Massage Chair Heats Up At The Mall Tuesday, February 23, 2021 A woman on Meadow Lane called police and said that her husband had left in her vehicle that morning without her authorization. According to the woman, she let her husband use her vehicle last night to go work, and when he came home in the morning they argued and he left in her vehicle. While police were on scene, the husband returned the vehicle. He said he went to the gas station and was surprised that his wife wanted to report the vehicle stolen. Fire in Worcester displaces 5 residents of Endicott Street home WORCESTER A home on Endicott Street was damaged in an accidental fire that left five people displaced Thursday morning. Firefighters were called to 106 Endicott St., at the corner of Perry Avenue, shortly before 6:30 a.m., Deputy Fire Chief Martin Dyer said. The fire went to two alarms. The blaze was small and started in a hallway on the first floor, Dyer said. No one was injured. ....
Barre man charged in alleged racial attack in Worcester Debbie LaPlaca WORCESTER – A 28-year-old Barre man has been charged with assaulting and violating the civil rights of a 65-year-old person he allegedly beat unconscious in a racially motivated attack, according to court documents. Michael Miller of 39 North Brookfield Road, Barre, was arraigned in Worcester District Court Dec. 15 on charges of assault and battery with injury on a person age 60+ or disabled, unarmed robbery, civil rights violation with injury and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an alleged Nov. 25 incident shortly before midnight on Endicott Street. According to court records, police were responding to a 911 call from a person saying he had been robbed by two men. While en route on Endicott Street, police happened upon a separate incident in which a Black male lay unconscious in the roadway.
