Octogenario denuncia que lo asaltaron en Hato Rey


El asaltante abandonó el lugar en un Hyundai Elantra de color azul, indicó el octogenario.  
El agente Edwin Ramos, adscrito al Precinto de Hato Rey Este, investigó preliminarmente estos hechos y refirió el caso a la División de Robos del Cuerpo de Investigaciones Criminales de San Juan, quienes procederán a hacerse cargo de la correspondiente investigación. 
La decisión final sobre el controversial proyecto recaerá en el secretario de Recursos Naturales, Rafael Machargo.
Se exhorta a la ciudadanía que de poseer información que ayude con el esclarecimiento de casos, favor de llamar al

Reportan robo a hombre de 82 años en Hato Rey


Le robaron una cartera con $80 dólares y un teléfono celular.

Un hombre de 82 años reportó que lo asaltaron, hoy, al mediodía, en la parada de guagua de la Autoridad Metropolitana de Autobuses en la avenida Barbosa en Hato Rey.
Alegó que un hombre de tez trigueña, mientras lo amenazaba, lo despojó de una cartera con $80 dólares en su interior y un teléfono celular. El asaltante abandonó el lugar en un Hyundai Elantra de color azul.
El agente Edwin Ramos, adscrito al precinto de Hato Rey Este, investigó preliminarmente estos hechos y refirió el caso a la división de robos del Cuerpo de Investigaciones Criminales de San Juan, quienes procederán a hacerse cargo de la correspondiente investigación. ....

Dunkirk’s top council member says the administration of Mayor Wilfred Rosas is playing the role of a “magician who distracts the audience with his right hand, while hiding the ball with his left” when it comes to the removal of a tree done by city workers on private property.
Paul VanDenVouver, councilman at-large, in a statement to the OBSERVER says he and council are looking for answers, not excuses after he released an eight-page report by council attorney Dan Gard that alleges there was work done in 2019 by city Department of Public Works employees over three days in August on private property at 10 Finch St. Gard’s recommendation in the report of the “large, unjustifiable and unconstitutional gift of municipal resources to a private individual” was to refer this matter to the appropriate enforcement agencies, recommending both the state comptroller’s office as well as the FBI’s Publi ....

The Dunkirk city clerk position might see some budgetary changes due to the 2021 budget approved by Common Council last week.
Currently the position, filled by Edwin Ramos, has no benefit package and is set at 32 hours a week. However the Council agrees that he’s there much more than that and the position itself needs some changes.
“Currently he works up to 32 hours, we talked about doing no more than 40 hours,” First Ward Councilman Don Williams said at the final budget review meeting Wednesday. “His hourly rate wouldn’t change, he’d actually be getting paid for some of the hours that he’s here and not getting paid for. He’s been working pretty hard since he’s been in there and if we’re not going to up the hours I think we should at least do the benefits.” ....
