Abilene police arrest man who jumped in random vehicle A man jumped into a random vehicle in south Abilene Sunday evening, claiming Angelina Jolie and Keanu Reeves were chasing him, according to a police report. During the incident at about 6:35 p.m. at Edgemont Drive and South Treadaway Boulevard, the suspect continued to rant about these people trying to kill him and hearing voices, the report said. An officer noted that the suspect indicated signs of intoxication on an unspecified ingredient. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication and taken to Taylor County Jail. The officers also requested that the suspect be screened after he came off his intoxication to ensure there are no additional mental health issues that may need to be treated, the report said. ....
Abilene police arrested a woman on drug charges after finding methamphetamine in a plastic bag in her vehicle s center console, inside a folded piece of foil and inside the woman s body, according to reports released Wednesday. During traffic stop at the intersection of South 14th and South Willis streets early Wednesday morning, a K9 officer alerted on the vehicle, police said. Police found a clear, plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance and later found the foil, according to reports. During her conversation with police, the woman reportedly told police she had a plastic bag containing ice inside a body cavity. ....
It s the power of threes. Deal Police as well as firefighters from Allenhurst and Asbury Park helped rescue a man who was in distress in Deal Lake on Friday afternoon, DPD said in a statement. Sgt. Brian Egan responded to the area of Edgemont Drive and Norwood Ave around 3:32 pm for a subject in distress in Deal Lake. He found a 66-year-old man there hanging from the bulkhead with his left leg trapped. Allenhurst Fire Department and Asbury Park Fire Department were called in to assist Sgt. Egan. Backup from Deal Police came as well with Lt. Matt Sharin who entered the lake to support the victims head while Asbury Park Firefighters put ladders and other equipment into the water to help the man to safety. ....
