“Collaborating on
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been one of the great joys of my professional life,” author J.K. Rowling said in a statement. “While no one would wish for what has happened over the last year, it has given Jack, John, and the first-class creatives who first breathed life into the production the opportunity to revisit the play, and to find a new way to frame our story with amazing illusions and some exquisite new staging all the while keeping our original story intact. I’m so proud to be associated with this new, reimagined version, and to be able to welcome back audiences to the Lyric, Curran, and Ed Mirvish theatres.”
The history of Knob Hill Farms in Toronto
The lasting legacy of Knob Hill Farms might be their popular
shopping laundry baskets, but they deserve more recognition for pioneering the very first big-box stores to Toronto.
Created in 1951 by Macedonian immigrant Steve Stavro, Knob Hills Farms got its name from something Stavro had seen stenciled on the side of a box of produce from California.
The rise of Knob Hill Farms
Stavro was a true man of the people who believed in low prices and high quality for the working class.
As part of this underserved community, Stavro shared many of the same traits as Toronto’s Ed Mirvish (indeed, Stavro was often described as the Honest Ed of local grocers).
TORONTO It’s starting to look very different at the southwest corner of Bloor and Bathurst streets. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the city has slowed down or come to a halt, but some major construction developments, including the Mirvish Village project, are booming. On Monday, construction and building services company EllisDon posted four updated photographs of the progress being made at the downtown Toronto site. Our Mirvish Village site team is making exceptional progress thanks to our Virtual Design and Construction team as they provide assistance in all forms of #digitalconstruction to build projects of better quality with more efficiency and less uncertainty. #Toronto#technologypic.twitter.com/xP65aFLCv9
