The Bayou History Center helps Houma-Thibodaux area residents trace their family trees and does other research on the community s past. We asked Executive Director Patty Whitney to tell us about the Thibodaux group s services and needs. Here are her edited answers. What services do you provide? We provide genealogical assistance and resource information through personal and online contacts. We also make educational presentations as requested. I write a monthly column on history for “Insight” magazine, a publication of the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce. I also provide numerous articles, transcriptions and data compilations for publication in the Terrebonne Genealogical Society’s journal, “Terrebonne Life Lines.” ....
