A vacated retail space at the Essex Experience was busy Saturday as over 100 people came out to make donations during a drive facilitated by the Essex Fire Department (EFD). The event was the second annual drive in honor of Addi Carroll, a 10-year-old whoâs battling a complex, life-threatening disease and has been the departmentâs biggest fan since it filled her swimming pool a few years ago through Make-A-Wish Foundation Vermont. EFD recently gave her a custom call sign and a radio scanner so she can stay updated with what the crews are doing, and the new truck purchased last year was nicknamed âAddiâs Engine.â ....
