To the editor: Lake Placid is a small community with many of the assets but also the issues of a larger community. As such, we are very fortunate to have so many individuals willing to be public servants. It is never easy to put oneself in a position of leadership, and it is always important to be mindful that the people you run against and serve with are your neighbors. The residents of Lake Placid show time and again that this is a special community that looks out for its own and value a commitment to maintaining the unique characteristcs of the community. With that in mind, I urge you to support Jamie Rogers for village mayor. Jamie’s record of serving for the good of the community is long and deep.
