A DECISION to curtail the football season at step five level has left a side desperately disappointed at another unfinished campaign. Following a vote, the FA’s Alliance and Leagues Committees reached a consensus which means, subject to clearance, the 2020/21 league season will be cancelled with immediate effect. The vote was carried out by clubs from steps three to six and results showed more than 76 per cent of all clubs preferred to curtail the league season. This was because measures could not be found to allow it to be restarted with limited spectator numbers and hospitality before April 1, something the majority of clubs were in favour of.
