Baby girl dies after falling from third floor of KL apartment 04 May 2021 / 07:23 H. KUALA LUMPUR:The case of a baby girl, who was believed to have fallen out of the window of a residence at Sri Aman Apartments, Jalan Aman Putra, last Sunday, has been classified as a sudden death. Sentul district police chief ACP Beh Eng Lai said in a statement that the victim’s autopsy conducted by the Selayang Hospital forensics unit found that her death was caused by severe injuries to the head due to a fall from a high place. He said an inspection of the victim’s house on the third floor did not reveal any criminal elements in the case. ....

KUALA LUMPUR: Seven Vietnamese prostitutes were arrested in a raid, code-named Op Noda, conducted by the Ant-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division of the Sentul police in Kepong last night. Sentul police chief ACP Beh Eng Lai said two local men, who are the caretakers of the premises, were also arrested. The prostitutes, all in their 30s, were believed to offer RM150 to RM200 for a half hour service and they used the MiChat application and Facebook to “lure” customers to the premises, he told reporters at the scene. KUALA LUMPUR: Two women were arrested yesterday for allegedly abusing an Indonesian maid at a house in Taman Rainbow, Sentul here. Sentul police chief ACP Beh Eng Lai said today that the 24-year-old victim suffered injuries to her face, head, shoulders and neck as a result of allegedly being beaten up by her 38-year-old female employer and her other Indonesian maid aged 42. He said the victim who had worked for her employer for 16 months alleged that she was not paid her wages for a year. Beh said the woman was abused for mistakes while performing her daily chores. ....
