CLEVELAND, Ohio Northeast Ohio’s Joey Kinsley will get a shot at redemption in the new season of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America: Best of the Worst,” which premieres on Sunday, April 25.
The season features previous contestants in the popular Food Network show “Worst Cooks in America,” who were eliminated but considered fan favorites. Kinsley competed in the show’s 21st season in early 2021, and was eliminated in the third episode.

If you’re invited to be on an all-star edition of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America” (9 p.m. Sunday), does that make you among the best of the worst or the worst of the worst?
“Definitely the worst of the worst,” says “Worst Cooks” contestant Sadie Manda, a Canonsburg native who lives in Slippery Rock. “It’s like being king of the losers. I’m so honored to be called an ‘all-star’ and also slightly offended.”
Who fired up your love of cooking?
Michael Symon: I have a Greek-Sicilian mother, so food was at the forefront of everything we did. As you were eating [breakfast], she was talking about what we were going to have for lunch. We were the house where everybody on the street ate.Â
What is the worst mistake someone can make in the kitchen?
Wow, thereâs so many. [
Laughs] When people take a piece of protein and put it in a cold-ass pan and then turn the pan on.
How should they be doing it?
You turn the pan on, over a medium to medium-high heat. Once the pan gets hot, you add your fat, then you wait another 20 to 30 seconds. If youâre cooking a protein like a fish or meat, you make sure that itâs dry and then you put it in the pan. You wait for four minutes before you even move it.
