Senior-most Supreme Court judge Justice Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana was on Tuesday appointed as the next Chief Justice of India. According to a notification issued by the government, Justice Ramana would take over as the 48th CJI on April 24 after incumbent CJI S A Bobde demits office a day before. Justice Ramana would retire on August 26, 2022. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2) of Article 124 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana, Judge of the Supreme Court, to be the Chief Justice of India with effect from 24th April, 2021, the notification read. ....

Coupang said in a statement that it had priced 130 million shares sold in the IPO at $35 per share, higher than the marketing range $32-$34 per share, giving Seoul-headquartered e-commerce giant, which is backed by Japan s SoftBank Group Corp, a market value of $60 billion. Founded in 2010 by Korean-American billionaire Bom Suk Kim, Coupang rose to prominence after launching its guaranteed same-day or next-day delivery service in the East Asian country. SoftBank s $100 billion Vision Fund owns 35.1% of Coupang. ....
Food delivery platform Swiggy on Wednesday announced the revamp of its SUPER subscription service in a bid to deliver greater value to more users. As part of the revamp, Swiggy SUPER will offer three different plans with progressively greater benefits including buy one get one offers from participating restaurants. Swiggy said that the new version of the subscription service has been carefully crafted after analysing the orders placed, the frequency of orders, and the purchasing power of consumers. Consumers can now choose from one of three plans based on their usage and preferences. The Binge plan provides unlimited free deliveries and unlimited buy one get one (BOGO) offers on dishes from partner restaurants at a price of Rs 329 per month. ....
The proposed reorganisation of districts in Andhra Pradesh may not happen by the March 31 deadline due to a variety of reasons. A high-level official committee headed by the Chief Secretary, set up for the purpose, could not yet trash out various contentious issues, particularly that related to drawing the borders of the new districts, officials said. Besides, creation of required infrastructure like new office buildings for the newly carved out districts is also seen as a handful task, given the precarious financial position of the state. In respect of staffing, the panel is said to have noted that no new posts need to be created as the existing ranks could be distributed and re-assigned. ....
